Hi.

Welcome to With Lex! I document my adventures in life, style, and food. Hope you follow along! xoxo

Atlantic City

Atlantic City

I’ve been to Atlantic City a handful of times over the years with my family. This summer my parents asked me if I wanted to tag along with them on a midweek trip and I jumped at the opportunity! I had some extra vacation days that I hadn’t planned for and I’m not one to turn down a free trip ;)

The only caveat is that I hate gambling: I literally do not understand it and can’t be bothered to digest the concept. With that being said, I took the time in advance to plan out how I wanted to spend my time both inside and outside of the casino to make the trip more enjoyable for me!

The weather was absolutely beautiful while we were there and the pool at our hotel had a great atmosphere; great music, food and drinks by the water, what could be better?! With that being said, I finished The Husband’s Secret lounging by the pool within two quick days.

As for activities, you know I couldn’t pass up my favorite activity - outlet shopping (who am I kidding, shopping of any kind tbh). There is a Tanger Outlet center located right off of the boardwalk. Needless to say a good portion of my time was well spent there - with the exception of yet another vacation credit card snafu which seems to always be a recurring theme for me! Also, have you seen the boardwalk? It’s about four miles long and a great opportunity for some quality people watching while getting your steps in for the day!

For the most part we ate at our typical spots, so nothing new to report there. With one major exception -  The Metropolitan (nestled inside of the Borgata). If you’re planning on making your down there, I cannot say enough good things about the Super Salad (hold the chicken please!). You guys, this was hands down the best kale salad I’ve EVER eaten! And trust me, I eat a lot of salad.

Overall, it was a great trip! Until next time AC!

xoxo, me
